Who?

Hi, I'm Evie, an award winning illustrator and community artist based in London and have been working with groups in the creative field since 2005. I hold a BA in Visual Communication from HIT, Holon, Israel and an MA in Children's book Illustration from Anglia Ruskin, Cambridge.
My portfolio can be viewed here: www.eviefridel.com

I facilitate creative workshops, lead art tours, develop content on art events and perform on-site illustration. Working hands on with people is an inseparable part of my work as an artist whilst I love listening to new ideas coming from participants of all ages, and they feed my own projects with creativity.
Here are some of the places I work with:

The Victoria & Albert Museum
Buckingham Palace
The V&A Museum of Childhood
House of Illustration
The London Design Museum
JCoss Secondary school
The Israeli Cartoon Museum
Emergency Exit Arts
The Jewish Agency
JW3 Community Centre
PJ Library London
The Strings Club Music school

I am fully DBS checked for working with children in the UK.
What?
Whilst I encourage young people to work towards an outcome they can be proud of, I strongly believe in the creative process itself as a key element in the work. Finding a personal visual language, using creativity as a way of self expression and learning new ways of observing oneself as well as the world around us are the ideas that I evolve my workshops around.
Where and When?

I work with many different settings which vary from schools and afternoon clubs to museums, galleries and art centres. I am also happy to offer private art sessions for groups or one on one at your home or on private events. The workshops content and style can be tailored to the child or group needs, follow upcoming events to see what's next.
